nickrobinson
I have 2 expression pedal, both of which work, until I change a patch. exp2 then stops working until I reboot the HX. It has to be a firmware issue, since if I swap the pedals, they both continue to work on exp1 ;( Are there any bank-specific settings? I'm assuming the pedal 2 assignment of exp/amp are global... Resetting seems to cure the problem, but as soon as I restore from my backup, it's back again. It's seriously frustrating!
silverhead
Are you sure that EXP-2 is configured as a controller in the patches where it’s not working? You can try reinstalling the firmware.

I thought exp2 config was global - is there some setting per patch/bank?
silverhead
It’s not global. You assign it per patch using the Controller settings There’s a Controllers tab in HX Edit. It’s very flexible. For instance, you can assign it to control any FX parameter (e.g. Delay Feedback) to vary from a minimum to maximum setting other than 0% or 100%. In that case sweeping the pedal controls the number of delay iterations you will hear.
nickrobinson
I understand about assigning the pedals, I've used this for 8+ years. But this issue s recent. if the exp/amp option is stored per patch, it should return to exp if changed on another patch? Once exp2 has stopped responding, only a reboot will restore it. silverhead
Reinstall the firmware. If that doesn't fix it open a support ticket. Back everything up first (or during), of course.
nickrobinson
That seems to have solved the problem. Many thanks. the HX is a superb and flexible unit and I couldn't live without it.
