mark14
I have been using my Guitarport pretty much from the day it was released to the public and I found it extremely useful. I had used the Guitarport hardware and Podfarm 1 to record onto Cool Edit Pro on a machine running Windows XP. Agreed it’s a dinosaur rig, but I didn’t have the internet on the machine and it suited my needs so why update for the sake of it. Unfortunately, the machine running XP died last week and it’s fit for the bin. I have a Dell machine running Windows 11 now and Cool Edit runs on it. Podfarm is installed on it, however can’t get the Guitarport interface to work with Windows 11, the hardware is okay as it runs on my friend's machine with Windows 7 on it. i downloaded Line 6 drivers V4.2.7.7 but that only results in a weird distorted output from the Guitarport hardware. I seem to recall in the past I had a limited version of Podfarm 2 and the Guitarport hardware working fine on the machine. For some reason I can’t get Line 6 Monkey to work I get a message stating “could not make a connection to the Line6 web server. Make sure you are connected to the internet. Reason: (Code 80001019) Unrecognised file type.” Could you please give recommendations on how to get the Guitarport hardware to work on Windows 11 and recommend an interface that will work with Podfarm on a windows 11 machine? Thanks for your time and patience. Regards Mark
silverhead
I would open a support ticket. See …. In the above, the driver version you mention lists Guitarport as a compatible product on Windows 11. POD Farm 2 (not the original version) is also listed as compatible. I believe your GuitarPort product came with a license for the original POD Farm product. You may need to purchase a license for PF2. However, you should open a support ticket before doing so.
mark14
Thanks so much for answering my question, I appreciate you taking time to assist me. I have raised a ticket with Line 6 and I will have to see how that pans out. Regards Mark
