Shielded, balanced 1/4" outputs?

The manual states:

1/4” Outputs: Use shielded, unbalanced (tip-sleeve) 1/4” cables to connect to one or two instrument amplifiers—or—shielded, balanced (tip-ring-sleeve) 1/4” cables to connect to studio monitors or powered PA/FRFR speakers; you may also use 1/4” TRS to XLR M cables.

Does this mean the Helix stadium actually has shielded, balanced 1/4" outputs?

It definitely has balanced outputs, balancing the output if tip/ring aren't grounded.  I use balanced cables to my PowerCab 112+.

I am not familiar with the concept of "shielded outputs", I mean presumably there is shielding around the jack (internally) and it is grounded appropriately.

    • Shielded
    • Refers to the physical cable construction.
    • A shield (braid or foil) surrounds the conductors to block electromagnetic interference (like radio signals, hum from power lines).
    • Both balanced and unbalanced cables can be shielded.

So, just be absolutely sure, the 1/4" outputs of stadium have a hot, cold and ground connector, just like XLR does? Of course you would need a TRS cable to utilize it.
