gash519
Hi there, I recently bought a Helix floor and would love to use HX edit for it but after fighting with it for hours, downloading all the drivers, turning off and on core isolation etc. I've come to the conclusion that it just won't work on a laptop with the Snapdragon processor. Is there anything else I'm missing or is the only solution to wait for Line 6 to release a new driver? I'm hoping with the release of the Helix Stadium that they still offer software upgrades for the floor/LT.
PerS
Hi My best guess is that L6 must update their driver to support Arm64 architecture. A few months ago I was looking for a new PC/Laptop and ran into a few discussions that described this “problem”. • https://www.reddit.com/r/Line6Helix/comments/1drwt48/surface_pro_11_and_helix_lt_issue/ • https://www.reddit.com/r/Line6Helix/comments/1lcowxd/hx_stomp_xl_into_surface_pro_11/ You can get hardware to run on the Arm-platform if it uses generic applications in Windows and if the hardware supports those generic functions. Eg some printers, cameras, sound cards etc. But if this hardware depends on a vendor application for functionality they will not work, eg L6 Helix. I didn't go for Arm-based PC to prevent those problems, too early in my use case //Per
