manawaite
helix native 3.82 not receiving midi from Logic Pro 12.01. I am using usb midi foot control pedal seeking to control volume swells in helix presets. Logic is receiving midi correctly. The midi in light in helix native does not show any activity, and no midi learn works. I have searched in line 6 help pages - yes helix native is registering in logic plug-in manager ok. FYI helix is receiving midi in software instrument track ok, but of course then there is no audio input available for guitar. Please help! silverhead
I found this in the HN a manual. It may be relevant: NOTE: You’ll need to configure your DAW host application to receive MIDI Control input from your external MIDI controller device or software. These settings are typically found within the DAW application’s Preferences. Additionally, it is often necessary to configure your DAW host track routing so that the external MIDI Controller data is fed directly to your current Helix Native plugin instance. This often requires using a MIDI or Instrument track to receive the MIDI input and then route it to the audio track on which the Helix Native plugin inserted. Please see your application’s documentation for details.
manawaite
Thanks for that info Silverhead I have followed your suggestions up in logic manual and help, and had a phone support call with Apple and I still haven't cracked it - I'll call Apple Logic support again as they were short staffed when I called and the guy I spoke with couldn't help . To recap: the guitar audio track doesn't receive MIDI at all it seems - yes logic is receiving MIDI from my volume pedal correctly - I can't figure out how to route the MIDI signals to the track. I am sure other helix native users have come across this problem and probably solved it already - any further suggestions?
