martifak
Hello, I'm using showcase on live shows to sned the click to our monitoring systems, we can send multiple midi commands on each song, and we set tempo on each song. I think that would be fantastic if we can assign a Key to songs, like tempo. For example, we can use a Delay synced to song tempo, why not do the same with the key control of harmonizer? Just set synced to song's key.
James271Rivera
Hello! That’s a really sharp idea—tying song key to the same automation system you’re already using for tempo and MIDI cues. Right now, Showcase lets you set tempo per song and send multiple MIDI commands, but it doesn’t natively support assigning a musical key as metadata. If that were added, you could sync harmonizer or pitch‑based effects automatically, just like delay syncs to tempo. A practical workaround until such a feature exists is to embed a MIDI Program Change or Control Change message in greensky online each song’s setup that tells your harmonizer what key to use. That way, when you trigger the song, the harmonizer receives both tempo and key instructions. It’s not as elegant as a built‑in “song key” field, but it achieves the same automation.
