Fenderflame28
I've been using my Powercab live for around 10 months, gigging maybe twice a month at clubs / wedding venues etc in a function band. I use it with Helix LT over L6 link and love the variety of electric and acoustic sounds I get, but here's the thing... Prior to PC I had a DT25, before that a Mesa Nomad (4CM) and before that a Marshall DSL401. What I've noticed is I think due to the angle of projection of the speaker. With the combo amps before, the sound was quite directional. I could go quite loud without annoying the rest of the band and the sound would 'punch' to the back of the venue. With the PC, it seems really quiet at the back of the room, but really loud for everyone on stage. I end up putting so much output through the mixer that it makes me wonder if I even need the PC at all. Does anyone here have any thoughts or opinions on the directionally of the speaker? Thanks
amsdenj
A FRFR would likely be less directional than a typical closed back speaker cabinet.
Fenderflame28
Yup, that's what I'm experiencing. Seriously looking at going back to a 1X12 combo and 4cm
