fleffelman
I've narrowed my scratchy static sound issue to somewhere between the input jack (Helix LT) and the first sim block. After performing a factory reset, and confirming my guitar and cable sound fine through a clean amp channel, I was still experiencing a scratchy static sound through my LT, no sims in the chain. After inserting a Return sim, I was able to get a good clean signal coming through so the issue is somewhere between the input jack and the first sim block. I confirmed the global settings had the input gate off, pad off, impedance set to 1M. I sprayed contact cleaner on a spare cable jack and inserted into the Helix's input jack multiple times, let it dry, and it still has the scratchy static sound. The included file starts with the guitar playing through the input jack, then the second is playing through Return 1 input into the Return sim. Is there ANYTHING else I can be looking at before I look into replacing the input jack. Hopefully that's not needed but we'll cross that bridge when we get there. test PRS clean.mp3
theElevators
Try a different cable. Otherwise, open up a support ticket. Otherwise, you can still use your Helix, using the return 1/2 jacks instead of an input. It can work with the tuner as well.
