Matrix Volume

Not sure if this has been covered, but for some reason I have no control over the song volume in the Matrix view.  I recall being able to balance my tone volume against any song I have imported.  Right now I have no control over the song that is playing, even though I can see it's signal and yet the slider is not able to control.  The song volume is way too high, so I cannot reduce it's signal.  I am outputting to 1/4" into a Line 6 power cab plus.  Anyone else experiencing this?

Just want to clarify…. Are you saying that moving the slider does not affect the visible level of the meter, or that it does not affect the actual volume of Song playback coming from the 1/4” outputs?

If the former, that’s normal behaviour. Here’s a snippet from the manual:

Note: All metering in the Matrix Mixer is “Pre-Fader” (i.e., each meter displays the signal level before its channel fader’s level is applied).

If the latter make sure the 1/4” Outputs is selected in the Matrix mixer; there are separate mixer controls for 1/4”, XLR, and Headphones. If it’s actually not working open a support ticket.

I the Matrix view the 2nd slider has the musical icon.  In the past, up until a couple days ago, I was able to use the 2nd slider to fade the backing track to balance with my playing.  Now, even when the slider is taken to -120 db it has no effect on the volume.   The volume level indicator is also not being effected by the slider.  I notice that the level indicator on the XLR output is behaving the same as the 1/4 out.

Do you perhaps have the Matrix mixer outputs linked? Does the behaviour change if you un-link them?

Again, as noted in my earlier reply the green meter level will not change in the display; it’s showing the pre-fader level which is not affected by moving the fader.
