Command Center Press/Release scribble strip label issue

On Helix Floor, I regularly set up press/release quasi-momentary snapshot changes in Command Center.

 

example:

 

In Snapshot 1, I set this in Command Center

 

Button 2 Press action - change to snapshot 3 (let’s call it LINES)

Button 2 Release action - change to snapshot 1 (let’s call it NORMAL)

 

and set the same parameters in Snapshot 3.

 

This button’s scribble strip in Snapshot 1 shows “(3) LINES.” When I step on it and hold down the Helix switches to Snapshot 3, the scribble strip stays the same but the snapshot number lights up, and when I release it the Helix goes back to Snapshot 1.

 

On the Stadium, now that press and release are separate actions the equivalent setup now shows MULTIPLE(2) in the scribble strip, and the option to override it using the Label/Color menu is grayed out. 
 

Is there a new workflow for this behavior? A significant portion of my presets use this function…
