Paolofrigerio
Problem Description I currently use the Volume Pedal in Position 2. When I want to switch to the Wah-Wah in Position 1, I have to press the pedal all the way down to activate the Toe Switch. However, during this transition, the volume automatically increases, which should not happen. As a result, every time I activate the Wah-Wah using the pedal's Toe Switch, there is an unwanted increase in volume. Expected Behaviour I would like to be able to activate the Wah-Wah using a dedicated STOMP switch. When I activate the Wah-Wah STOMP, the expression pedal should automatically switch to Wah-Wah mode (Position 2), without causing any increase in volume. Desired Toe Switch Behaviour The Toe Switch should only be used to switch between the Volume and Wah-Wah functions, and vice versa. When I activate the Wah-Wah STOMP, the pedal should automatically be assigned to the Wah-Wah function, without requiring me to press the Toe Switch. The Toe Switch should therefore allow switching between the two functions only when necessary, without causing any changes or increases in the overall volume. Support Request Please confirm whether this behaviour can be achieved through the correct EXP pedal configuration or whether this is a firmware issue. In summary: The Volume function must remain completely independent of Wah-Wah activation and operation. Switching between the two pedal functions must never cause an unwanted increase in the overall volume. Clarify the expression-pedal positionsResolve the position-number inconsistency
bbehrens Posted yesterday at 01:30 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:30 AM I am not sure that I understand your "must never cause an unwanted increase in the overall volume" statement. Under normal circumstances, and to my knowledge any multi-function pedal, the pedal will go to 100% when engaging the toe switch to switch to the secondary pedal function. This is why many players use dedicated volume and wah pedals. The Stadium can accommodate both via EXP2/3. NOTE: There is a way to assign a different minimum and maximum volume for the volume pedal so that it will not go to 100%. You can assign it to a stomp switch or preset snapshot and assign it to any arbitrary range )e.g. 20% to 60% volume as min and max instead of 0% to 100%. Can you further clarify what you are attempting to do.
rwandering Posted yesterday at 05:56 AM Share Posted yesterday at 05:56 AM If you use the XL pedal to set overall volume versus for volume swells, then the switching isn't really helpful. You really need a second pedal.
bbehrens
I did a little more thinking about this... and it didn't do any good. So I thought that Jason Sadites might be able to help here. I basically learned the Helix Floor watching his videos. And by the way, he is an amazing guitar player who writes his own original stuff - and he has this very clear and reasonable presentation in his videos. But I thought that you might be able to use the information he provides in this video:
Mobi
Not sure if this will help you. I use stadium floor. I have a Mission EXP pedal which I use for 2 FX, wah OR Whammy. I had similar problems as you, and I solved them by using an A/B split block. I put the whammy on path A and the wah on path B. I then assign the block to A100 or B100 when I need the effect, using snapshots. For example in 4 of my snapshots I want to use the pedal for wah so I have set the path to B100. For 1 snapshot I want my EXP pedal to only trigger the whammy so for that preset I set the path to A100.
