Potatisburk
I'd like to use my POD HD500 with an amp, and use some of the awesome sounding pre-amp effects (overdrive, gate etc) in front of the amp, and then use the amp's FX loop to send the signal back to the POD and use some of the awesome post-amp effects (reverb, delay etc). Is this possible? Imagine this photo: http://www.glab.com.pl/img/kolejnosc_efektow1d.jpg ..but with all the effects going through the POD. So, guitar > POD HD (gate, overdrive etc) > pre-amp > FX loop (send) > POD HD (reverb, delay etc) > FX loop (return) > power-amp (or am I completely wrong..?) I know there is an effect in the POD called FXLoop, but I can't really figure out how it works, and I don't have an amp with an FX loop (yet) to try it out. I wanna bring my POD and try this out at my local music store, but it would be good to have some idea what I'm doing before I get there. ^^ Thanks in advance! phil_m
What you're describing is called the 4 cable method, or 4CM for short. It's totally doable. There's a video describing how to set it up on Line 6's Youtube channel here:
