WolffgangVW
Hi all, I use my POD HD with some powered monitors (and goddamn it sounds good), but I'm getting some weird extra high fruequency noise when using high-gain settings. It's not just the feedback associated with high gain, it's more of a... chittering noise, I'm not even sure how to describe it. It's not entirely consistent, and I'm not sure what triggers it. I get occaisional ground loop noise, but this other noise happens whether the ground loop noise is there or not. I'm running from the POD HD into a Scarlet 18i8, and 1/4" to XLR cables out of that into the monitoring sub. The 18i8 is USB connected to my computer, but the POD isn't, and everything is running on the same circuit (room only has 1 power point). As far as I can tell, the noise goes away when my computer is turned off, but doesn't whether the 18i8 is plugged into the computer or not. Sorry if this has been covered before, I wasn't really sure how to search for it. Thanks for the help!
bjnette
Hiya, it could be the computer. Move the computer away from the interface and the POD HD
maxnew40
I had this issue when I was using variax as one input and guitar as the other (guitar synth connected to guitar input). I found that the guitar input was pickup noise and amplifying it. When I switched the other input to Aux it went away.
