tj6000
Hi! I have installed the latest drivers on my MBP, to play some music from it during breaks, and sometimes do some recording... Everything works fine, but my MBP boot time is now almost a minute (before it was 10-12 seconds)! The boot slowed down immediately after driver installation, and no other software/drivers have been installed a weak before that... I have MBP 13", mid 2013, i5, 16gb ram, samsung ssd... Thanks for your input!
pedromleite
No slow down on my MB Air 2011 with Mavericks 10.9.4 Maybe reading the system.log using the Console utility can give you a clue, regarding what happened during that time. And you could try to repair filesystem permissions (usual suspect after updates to Mac Os X) using Disk utility. PL
Digital-sound
I didn't like using the USB connection to play music. I found a lot of latency. Just pushing play and stop. Not a huge deal for just play back, but if it is slowing your computer that much, just use the headphone jack if all you need is play back. Plug into inputs 17/18 on the board. Works great, and 0 latency.
