noodlenorm
Hi folks, Could you recommend a pod product? I'm looking for the following features: Chorus, distortion that doesn't sound too digital, looper, wah-wah, acoustic amp models, and USB output. I believe the Pod HD line and Pod X3 line meet these requirements, is this correct? If I got a desktop model, would it be possible to add a wah pedal later? I'm an advanced beginner to intermediate level player. The pod will mostly be for home use with acoustic and electric guitars. I'll probably buy used, and would like to keep the cost in the $100 - $300 range. Are there any other products you'd recommend? (Sorry if questions like this are asked regularly, I've been digging around and haven't found exactly what I'm looking for.) Thanks for your help. pfsmith0
I think you'll be happier with a used HD500 (cheaper than the HD500X) over the X3. I believe they've fixed much of the "digital-ness" with the HD series. There is a substantial difference between them from my understanding (I have never used the X3). joel_brown
X3 will be easier to use but the PODHD will sound better, not that the X3 sounds bad by any means.
