Help!! POD IS Pro with GSP1101

Hi- I live both units. I'd like to use one on some songs live and three other on other songs. Ok don't what to use some fx from one with the other other. I DO want to maintain stereo out. I go to a vht power amp and step cabs and sometimes direct to the board. Can anybody help?!?. I don't seem to be able to figure out how to do this. Would like to control with fbv (though have control 2 as well). Thanks!!!!!

I don't have the GSP1101, but it does have a stereo effects loop. Seems to me you have at least 2 basic choices:

• Put the GSP1101 in the POD effects loop
  • use the POD effects loop out (mono) to get into the GSP1101 input and the GSP1101 effects loop send or output into the POD effects loop return, or
  • use the POD effects loop out (stereo) to get into the GSP1101 effects loop return and the GSP1101 output into the PODD effects loop return
• Put the POD in the GSP1101 effects loop
  • same drill as above, just switch the names

Level matching may be a problem. Both units offer adjustments, but you probably need to try all options to find what works best for you.

Sorry, can't be more specific as I am not familiar with potential GSP1101 limitations.

Thanks for the advice. So to be specific, maybe I could follow up here...

 

The gsp has single look out (mono) and stereo look returns, as well as stereo line out 1/4 and stereo out (xlr).

 

So when you say

 

1. use the POD effects loop out (mono) to get into the GSP1101 input and the GSP1101 effects loop send or output into the POD effects loop return, or

 

2.use the POD effects loop out (stereo) to get into the GSP1101 effects loop return and the GSP1101 output into the PODD effects loop return

 

In 1, will going out of the pod in mono kill the stereo effect (or will it make everything before the fx block summer to mono and then everything after that stereo?

 

In 2, I had thought I tried that and got no sound...man at "output" on the gsp do you mean here....

 

Any way to do this in siriel?
