Foo Clean Dave Grohl Any Foo Fighters Foo Fighters Class A-30 TB Rock 125
adamdabin After the first 2 albums Dave adapted a standard rig that he still uses today. The only change in recent albums (post 2005) is he's dropped the Mesa Stack and gone all AC30. The main effects both Dave and Chris use are a memory man and a Phaser and a Pro Cat, so have assigned relevant patches to the Modulation and Delay switches on the footboard. The guys also use Sure SM57 to mic their amps live so have set that as the MIC setting. 6/4/11 humbucker

Foo Heavy Dave Grohl Any Foo Fighters Pre In Your Honour Album Foo Fighters Treadplate Dual Rock 143
adamdabin After the first 2 albums Dave adapted a standard rig that he used until the last two albums. For CleanDirty sounds Dave used Vox AC30 but for heavylead sounds he used Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier. The main effects both Dave and Chris use are a memory man and a Phaser and a Pro Cat, so have assigned relevant patches to the Modulation and Delay switches on the footboard. The guys also use Sure SM57 to mic their amps live so have set that as the MIC setting. Run your Gibson Explorer or similar through it for some authentic Foo. 6/4/11 humbucker

Peppers Clean John Frusciante Any Peppers Song Red Hot Chili Peppers Blackface Lux Alternative 74
adamdabin John Frusciante has kept a relatively static setup for all the Peppers albums. He uses two different rigs for clean and dirty in general. On the clean chanel he runs a Fender Sliverface Showman with Marshal 4x12 cabs. For dirty-heavy he runs dual Marshall stacks, one Marshall Major 200watt and one Jubilee 2550, both with Marshall 4x12 cabs. Main Effects used are Roland Chorus, Ibanez Wah, Big Muff Pi, MXR Phaser and Boss Turbo Distortion. Have Assigned Chorus to the modulation patch as the most common sound we here with his clean sounds. 6/4/11 single coil

PRIDE AND JOY Stevie Ray Vaughan Pride And Joy Double Trouble Brit J-800 Texas BluesShuffle 93
jodyvige I've been working on this tone for years. try it I bet you'll like it. Stevie made the vibroverb famous but, that was only his clean tone. Marshalls were always a big part of his sound. If you have seperate amp set clean used in combination with this tone on your line six product, it will sound great. 8/5/11 single coil

Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).

The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.

Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.

For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.

Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.
