POD HD500

Back Off Brit J-45 / Tweed B-Man 5127
leeanderton We created this patch to show how you could back the guitar volume off & clean up the amp tone. Nice for a bit of blues. 10/28/10

POD HD500

Classic Clean Blackface Double 7504
leeanderton Does exactly what it says on the tin - nice clean with some echo. 10/28/10

POD HD500

Growl Bass Class A-30 TB 3763
leeanderton Works quite well as a dirty bass line - doesn't track chords well. Kind of funky/dirty/pointless. I liked using this as a bass line to loop. 10/28/10

POD HD500

Jimi Maybe Brit J-45 2690
leeanderton I'll probably get shot for this patch - I thought it was a pretty good Jimi tone for Wind Cries Mary. That said - Jimi is a legend, not sure the HD500 can ever really do him justice! 10/28/10

POD HD500

Lee Blue PhD Motorway 3479
leeanderton I recently saw a guitar player called Buddy Whitingham - he was using a Dr Z amp & it sounded great. I tried to make this similar - it's a really useable great blues guitar tone. 10/28/10

POD HD500

Mesa Mayhem Treadplate 4841
leeanderton Hi Gain with a tight noise gate - nice & thick. 10/28/10

POD HD500

Monkeylord Brit J-800 4202
leeanderton This was the patch that Rob created in one of the Monkeylord video demos that he shoots at Andertons Music Co. We think it sounds like his rig - check out his YouTube channel to see him playing the HD500. 10/28/10

POD HD500

Monty Brit J-800 2065
leeanderton A tribute to one of the Monkeylords biggest fans!! If you can find a use for this tone, you're obviously in a pretty weird band! 10/28/10

POD HD500

Phat Arse Angel F-Ball 2919
leeanderton Hi Gain, PHAT & great for drop tuning. 10/28/10

POD HD500

PornTone Blackface Double 3588
leeanderton Classic clean tone with a big phaser. Ideal for certain movie sound tracks (not that I would know). 10/28/10

Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).

The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.

Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.

For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.

Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.
