Modest Floating Mouse Float On Modest Mouse Class A-15 Alternative 214
aacb The stomp lowers the volume a tad, and adds a little fuzz. The mod adds that watery peaceful sounds, and of course delay adds a little repeat of what you're playing. I decided to turn the wah off, but is used in the song. You can copy this and make one with the wah on so you can use it during the catchy little riff thing. Adding some delay at that part makes it sound like the recording. You'll figure out which parts of the song use which effect combinations -) 3/28/08 humbucker

Brian May's creamy vox lead Brian May Any really... Queen Class A-30 TB Rock 324
aacb I've been toying around with his tone for along time, but have found that it is almost unobtainable without a boost. If you have an overdrive give the amp a slight gain boost and this tone will cut through and sing. I didn't really bother to edit the effects other than to just point the user of this tone in the right direction. Brian May's tone is actually quite a bit more like single coil tone when in a live setting, but for the sake of dl'ers I did this with a humbucker to avoid the hassle of having to use an outboard eq to take out the initial thunder of a single coil. Brian also used very little verb so take it easy on that setting as well. For the brighton rock solo use tap temp to set up the delay and adjust the knob to taste, but for the record it was a ping pong delay, that being triplets in stereo. The 4x12 helps account for the amount of amplifiers he runs on stage. However, we're still short 8 speakers, as he runs 6 vox ac-30's at live venues. 3/28/08 humbucker

Evil City Synyster Gates Beast and the Harlot Avenged Sevenfold No Amp Metal Shred 333
aacb Tried to get syn's bogner amp right, pretty close! Switch to your neck pickup for the leads! e-mail rocxtarcox.net if you think i suck. I play through studio monitors or headphones so your amp will mess this tone up. 3/28/08 humbucker

Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).

The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.

Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.

For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.

Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.
