  1. I have been a pod user since the first Kidney Bean came out a few decades ago. Up until a year ago I still used amps and pedals for live sound and my pod for practice. in 2023 I crossed the line and was able to dial in some killer tones (finally) that I could use plugging the "GO" into a large stage with concert FOH speakers. I have been critical of the stock sounds which so many just plain suck. The game changer for me was Michael Britt. He developed a basic preset pack with the podgo. Its pure money. I play a 2022 Gibson les Paul Modern and 1978 Ibanez CN200 and I used Michael Britts tones as the foundation and tweaked for my guitars. I am not a technical person so as much as I wanted the Helix, I am super happy with the "GO". It delivered in 2023 running it direct to the mains of a large stage. Thank you to Michael Britt. BTW: I dont know him and never met him. In fact, I sent him a thank you email when I finally decided to ditch my amps and he never responded. My only beef with the "GO" (Podgo) is the wireless feature. i actually have the Podgo wireless and the integrated wireless system works about 30% of the time. I thought it was the unit so Line6 swapped it out in the first month but the second one did the same thing. Soooooo you really cant count on it for rehersal or for sure a live gig which means its a waste of a $100. It really doesnt make sense cuz Line6 builds wireless devices. Line6 tech support said you could have interference on stage but I called BS on that one. I have an old BOSS WL-50 Wireless pedal device that works 100% of the time plugged into the "GO". Not sure what the situation is on that but that is a little slap in the face for LIne6 engineers when I purchased the podgo wireless and I have to plug in a boss competing product that works perfect. So 100% sold on the PODGO, just not the wireless.
  2. Greetings folks, we are playing a 1500 seat theater in June and I really like my tones on the podgo. I am planning on not using my amp and plugging the Podgo direct to the snake, FOH. I have never used my podgo in a larger venue 1) Will the Podgo hold it own compared to the Helix or Helix LT? 2) Does the type of cables used to connect the PodGo make a difference in sound quality or noise reduction? If so, then 3). What cables should I purchase (1/4 to XLR). Do I need TRS? For example, would a 20 foot Mogami 1/4 to XLR provide a great connection? thank you! Buford
  3. Hello Silverhead. I have the new Pod Go. I found the tones from Rick Beato and he advertises they were made on a Line6 HX Stomp. It sounds like the answer is no. Thank you for the quick follow up.
  4. I am a pod go user and have two boss WL-50 units, one for my acoustic rig and one for electric. they work great! Pre pandemic, we played on an outdoor stage with about 3K people in attendance. I was a bit nervous to try the Boss unit into my pod go to the huge FOH sound system. Boss technical support said it should perform well on a big stage. The FOH sound engineer said he hadnt seen a small pedal device before and we were both curious in sound check to see if it would work or would I need to plug in. It was a very big stage with 5 of us and in sound checks everything worked great. during the live show the little boss pedal kicked some butt and the FOH sound engineer said from 50 feet back on a riser the WL-50 performed well and didnt notice any sound drop outs. Fast forward to the new PodGo wireless product. I am excited to see that on the market and will sell my Podgo and buy the new one with the wireless feature. Love the innovation. Hopefully it performs as well as the Boss WL-50.
  5. Greetings fellow musicians: I found some cool tones online that are from an HD stomp box. Am I able to down load to the PodGo?
  6. Thank you Silverhead and Voxman55. I can see the files and the process to download. Just trying to figure out how to get them into a specific open slot. I will just give it a shot. thanks Voxman, thanks for pointing out the uppercase. I am well aware of what that means, but wasn't paying attention and my caps lock was on. Oops! thanks for pointing it out.
  7. GREETINGS PEOPLE LOTS SMARTER THAN ME: I JUST PURCHASED SOME KILLER SOUNDS FROM THE LINE6 MARKET PLACE AND CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET THEM DOWNLOADED TO MY POD GO. CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE POINT ME TO THE VIDEO OR MANUAL WHERE IT EXPLAINS HOW TO PUT THE SOUND INLCUDING SNAP SHOTS IN A SPECIFIC NUMBERED LOCATION. IF NOT THEN WILL THE LINE6 TECH SUPPORT WALK ME THROUGH THE STEPS. THANK YOU!
  8. Amgradmd, thank you so much. yes, I always tune up and I fiddled with it more last night. I am more worried about playing live using the tuner so was ready to pull the trigger on another TU-3, but. based on your feedback I just need to get used to it and it should be fine live.
  9. Greetings fellow musicians: I was the recipient of one of the first kidney beans. years ago followed by the HD300 and just received my Pod Go yesterday. my existing pedal board with my acoustic guitar has a Boss TU-3 Tuner that works great. I am now starting to play my electrics and hope to incorporate the POD Go in my set up this summer/fall when we can resume playing live. I have had this cool new toy for a day now and perplexed regarding the onboard Tuner. How in the heck do you know when the string is exactly in tune. I can never get it to land on the line, just close either flat or sharp. 1) Any trick to using this? 2) has anybody relied on this in a live setting? or do I need to add another Boss TU-3 to this? Help?

    cable question

Greetings gents, Say, I just purchased or preordered a new POD GO and I am stoked. Currently I run my A/E Guitar from my custom pedal board XLR direct to snake to FOH. I have in ear monitors so so no need for an amp and this works great. I am wanting to start incorporating my electric back into certain songs on the set list. What is the best way to connect the new Pod Go to the FOH of large venues. Most of the sound dudes at large venues have lots of cables to connect with but I would like to have my own just in case and also connect to my Mackie 1402 VLZ Pro when rehearsing..... the FAQ says use 1/4 inch TRS to XLR Male. Can anybody point me in the right direction of a quality of cable that sounds great and will work well connecting the Pod Go to the FOH? thank you so much. As you can see I am not a technical one.
  11. Greetings Musicians, Say, I have performed in an acoustic rock band for 10 years. I have a custom pedal board customized to my sound that I run direct to FOH for large venues. Our band has deciided to add electric guitars back in for part of the shows. I want to find a floor pedal that fits the following criteria 1) run direct to Main PA 2) simple to use 3) I only use the following sounds A) Clean B) great crunch/distortion c) lead d) chorus E) delay. I also need a built in tuner, Volume pedal & DI. So I really only need 5 or so killer patches/buttons. I am a simpleton. The easier the better but it has to be of Pro Quality I am so confused by brands and models.. Any recomendation. under a 1000 bucks would be great .thanks you,
  12. Greetings Gents, I play in a Acoustic Rock band and I have a Takamine LTD guitar and play through a Fishman loud box mini. I have an HD300 I have been using for effects (chorus, delay etc..) I use the volume pedal for solos but have been by passing and only using the effects. I was using the HD300 out a DI and running directly to house sound via XLR cable. Its sounds pretty good. I just purchased a loud box mini fishman amp and running the HD300 to the amp and the AMP via XLR out to the snake which has a much better clean sound. Does anybody have some good tone patches for an acoustic guitar? Clean to start than open to others? thanks
