In other guitar processors, like for example Fractal Audio AX8, the amplifiers can be modified between firmware updates and thus your preset will sound different after an update. This means that you will need to tweak any preset based on a modified amp after an update. I wondered if there was something similar for the Helix firmware.

Hi Team! I have an HX Stomp that I have not updated for a while. It's currently running firmware 2.71. Can I update directly to 3.01 or do I need to update to 2.92 first? And (do I even dare to ask): Will my presets still be on the HX Stomp and will they sound the same after the update? Regards Georg

Hi team! My HX Stomp has frozen/hung twice now. Once when I edited a distortion pedal in a present (directly on the unit), and once yesterday during boot up (boot up never completed). Is this common? I have FW 2.71 installed. Regards Georg

Hi team! Maybe this is a RTFM-question but I've always wondered what the result will be for a stereo preset if you connect the HX Stomp to a PA using only one cable (mono). Will you get only the left channel or will HX Stomp mix both channels and send them out as mono (in Main Output Left)?

Hi team! I can read in the manual that momentary switches should be used if you want to connect extra footswitches (FS 4 and FS5) to the HX Stomp. However, I do not understand if the momentary switches should be of the type "Normally open" or "Normally closed". Does anyone know? Maybe it does not matter since it's not specified in the manual? YES! In this video both work according to manual but in my post you wrote that your base station flashed red during charging and that is not correct. Do you agree? :-)

That is not correct behaviour. The base unit should show solid white and the TRANSMITTER should be flashing red or green. Flashing red means that less than 30 minutes of play time remains while flashing green means more than 30 minutes remains. When charging I completed the TRANSMITTER should show solid green. If you think I am wrong show me where in the manual it describes the way your units behave. Yes, the transmitter charges so it will work but the LED signals are incorrect and does not provide the information they should.

I think I fould the answer myself. :-) It seems the G10T is only the transmitter. Hence you can buy the transmitter separately. To use with Line6 "Wireless Ready" products or as a spare/replacement.

I just noticed that Line6 have published a manual for a G10T model. Anyone knows the difference between the G10 and the G10T?

Yes, both units should act according to the manual. The way it acts in the first video linked to above is incorrect. The base station should always show a white light and the transmitter should always blink red or green when charging and show fixed green when charging is completed.

I just got an answer on my support ticket. The answer was that my G10 is faulty and needs to be replaced. Everyone having this problem should do the same.

I have tried your approach and even if it got the unit to charge with correct LED lights once, the problem returns. Your videos show the same problem. I can only conclude that both your and mine unit are faulty and should be returned/replaced.

Just tried charging it again. It pulsed red just as before. Pulled out the transmitter once more and plugged it in again without connecting it to a guitar first. All of a sudded the base station lights solid white and the transmitter LED flashes green. Very odd but it seems to be working now.

Interesting! I will try this then. Thanks! :-) Though, still asking myself if this behaviour is intentional and if so, why it's not described in the manual. Feels like a bug to me. Will it behave according to manual once I've done this, meaning is this a one off?

So I just bought a Relay G10 today and ran into trouble right away. Connected the base station to power and plugged in the transmitter to charge. The base station halo pulses red and there is no light from the transmitter LED. This is not how the manual says it should be. Does the transmitter even charge? And how will I know when it's fully charged since the halo never changes in color? It just keeps pulsing red. Had it on charge now for over three hours which should be more than enough to get at least a flashing green LED on the transmitter (if that LED was actually active during charging which the manual says it should be). However, no light from the transmitter LED and the base station halo still pulses red. From manual: "Transmitter Details Battery Status – This LED illuminates green when the transmitter is powered on, and more than 30 minutes of operating time remain. The LED flashes red when less than 30 minutes of operating time remain. When the transmitter is plugged into the receiver for charging, a flashing red LED indicates less than 30 minutes of battery operation, a flashing green LED indicates more than 30 minutes of battery operation and a steady green LED indicates a fully charged transmitter." Is my G10 faulty and should be replaced? I see others posting the exact same issue here on the forum.

Good that it works but the way your works is not according to the manual at all. Mine works the same yours does. How can we know when the transmitter is fully charged if the base unit halo flashes red all the time? Also, if I understand the manual correctly it's actually the transmitter that should be giving the light signals, not the halo.
