Very great. I suggest installing graphtech ghost pickups if you're tired of the pickups failing, especially if you're going to go through the trouble of installing magnetic pickups.

Hey Clay, are the Ghost saddles direct replacements to the Line6 ones? Just replace the whole bridge piece and solder the piezo the the existing pcb?

Just curious to know if additional stomp models from the vast Line6 library will be available. I am using the Tone Port with an iPad and the sound is just fantastic. The sound is comparable to my HD500X. It would be nice to be able to use Mobil Pod as a staging area to create new tones with headphones, and then replicate that tone to the HD. That would require having the same models available on both platforms. I find the interface in Mobil Pod to be more fun than the clunky lcd display of the HD. An iPad interface to the HD would be my next wish list item..

My solution was that I sold the Flextone III, bought a HD500x and plugged it directly into the pa with no amp.

the chain of the models with their settings I used is:

 

- Les Paul Standard bridge humbucker

- Tube Screamer

- Vox AC-30 miked with 121 ribbon mic

- analog delay, time 20ms, mix at 30%

- analog delay with modulation, time 1/4 notes syncronized, feedback at 25%, mix at 30%

- plate reverb

 

HD500 set in single input approach..

 

all the not mentioned settings are at their default values

Awesome job on recreating that guitar sound…..

I can see two immediate models needed for my application. I could really use a Roland JC-120 amp model and a strait-up octave divider that does a full octave above without any other flavor attached.

I am curious to know if the "line in" can be used as a pass thru to plug in, for example, an iPod, and have that signal un-effected while you are playing guitar and using all the stomp box models.

I had the exact same problem. I am an IT guy and have very good cables.. Line6 Edit doesn't recognize my Flextone III XL but it does recognize the floor board. I have been using a pair of midi cables instead, hooked up to my MAC PRO.

Anyone know of a source where I can purchase replacement grill cloth for a Flextone 2x12 cabinet? Same cloth as the Flextone III XL amp.
