  1. Try reverting to factory settings (usually helps in those cases), just don't forget to back up your tones :)
  2. Reaper is awesome, by the way, I use it as alternative to crumblesome and generally stupid Cubase. As a person, who was struggling with creativity block on Cubase for two years, Ableton opened a whole new horison of possibilities. I was finally able to concentrate on music instead of tech programming and watching tutorials on internet. Drag and drop is a genius thing, which Steinberg don't seem to grasp, as well as simplicity on the surface, and great depth of options to explore, easy installation, (unlike ProTools), good and simple controls ( unlike Reaper), ability to use keyboard as midi controller (both piano and grid)... GUI is actually simplistic for a reason - less CPU loads, and frankly, Cubase 5 looks as bad to me.
  3. Analog workaround (not using POD as audio interface): Output from SEND jack, placing it first in effects chain on POD. But in Audio Pannel for POD you should be able to choose the way your pod outputs the sounds, you can output either processed sound into your DAW or dry. My POD XT has this option, I don't see a reason why HD wouldn't have it. Look at pic, options are self-explaining. V https://www.dropbox.com/s/aiccfi0tih7t7ph/podopt. And if you'll be so kind to post your screenshot, I will be really glad - I wanted to see which output options POD HD provides.
  4. I am surprised that Ableton Live is not even on a list - and it's a great DAW, especially for musicians, straight-forward sampler interface and miryads of connectivity options which other DAW's do not possess (feeding audio to trigger midi, simple sidechaining, grouping, etc)
  5. Mates please help, just hook your POD to the PC and post screenshot of an audio panel it provides, expanding the Input/Output options, like here https://www.dropbox.com/s/aiccfi0tih7t7ph/podopt.jpg
  6. Dig around MIDI Appendixes, check what CC's control the parameters, and if Pod outputs any MIDI data when you change the preset. It shouldn't be a problem, I have done it on Triaxis and Boss GT-8. In my experience of hooking tons of midi stuff together, it is always something wrong with your programming. Or maybe Pod doesn't output MIDI data on program change, which is unlikely - you're saying you succeeded swithching channel on your amp.
  7. Hello everyone, I am considering to purchase Pod X500, but I have a big dilemma... I currently own PodXt and there's one thing about it which is really bothering me - I'm unable to route guitar to different output on it while XT is connected via USB. Elaborating a bit - I want an option to be able to send fully processed signal from guitar to, let's say, both unbalanced 1/4 outs connecting to amp, and non-processed signal from DAW to the both XLR's, leading to console/PA. I want just guitar/ in my amp, and clean DAW in PA, without guitar mixing in. Simultaneously. Also it would be lovely to know if I can route XLR input to different outputs, say, fully processed signal (achieved by dual amping in Pod) goes to the same output as DAW. Is it all possible? X500 really seems like hell of a machine - XLR input, looper, MIDI, Audio Interface, loads of I/O... But it will be nothing for me without this basic flexibility, which Pod XT doesn't have. I made a search on forum and knowledge base and there was no answer. Please, owners of X500, help fellow musician out! :) Cheers.
