Yes, I can access all the models and alt tunings no problem. Workbench HD also correctly identifies the guitar as JTV-59 and all my Helix presets work as expected meaning switching guitar model, volume, tone, etc. as I move from one preset to another.

Written on the package was "50-02-0320-1 JTV-59 V2.22 Tested PB5". Sorry, I don't understand your second question "blue layer of models?"

I'm back in business! I got the board yesterday. It was a simple drop-in. Everything is functional again.Very happy.

Thank you all for your comments. Unfortunately the tech at my local Long and McQuade told me he doesn't handle this type of repairs and referred me to a local electronics repair shop. In the meantime, the good folks at Yorkville responded to my inquiry and gave me the part number for the board and instructed me to order it via L&M, which I did today. Psarkissian, is the board a direct drop in or does it need some kind of initialization that only a Line 6 tech can do? If it's a drop in, I can easily do it as I have 30+ years experience maintaining and sometimes repairing scientific instruments.

The electronics in my out of warranty JTV59 are dead. Has anyone gone thru the process of getting a Variax guitar repaired in Canada? Are parts available? It probably needs a new main board, something I could easily install myself.

I looked into it a little bit more and I don't see a way out. I'm guessing that when a cable is plugged into the headphone out the Amplifi uses a different simulation set and then mixes all the signals - guitar, Aux in and Bluetooth - into something suitable for line out purposes. So, using the headphone out, all signals can be sent to a PA but the Amplifi speakers will of course be off. Connecting a jack in parallel to the headphone out like I did and using this jack as a line out will keep the Amplifi speakers on and will allow the Bluetooth and the Aux signal to be sent to a PA with good results. As for the guitar signal, it's kinda weird. If you use only an amp and cab simulation you won't get the guitar signal. However, if you add something like a delay, chorus or reverb module in the chain, you will get a guitar signal to come out of the parallel jack but as far as I can tell you get only that portion of the signal and not the whole guitar signal. And it sounds absolutely awful if you feed that signal to something like a keyboard amp and play along with the Amplifi. It's like the two signals are out of phase or something. I double checked the jack connections and the two are indeed in parallel and not crossed. So I'm stumped for now. Again, I'm guessing that Line 6 didn't include a separate line out because this might overwhelm the Amplifi DSP.

I did this modification - installing a stereo jack in parallel to the headphone out - so that I could route the signal to a keyboard amp without disconnecting the Amplifi speakers and have both amps on. It works for music played via Bluetooth or the aux in but for some reason the guitar signal doesn't go through. I suspect that when the headphone jack is used it not only disconnects the speakers but it also re-configures the output circuitry to include the guitar in the mix. I may explore the circuit some more but for now I think there's probably no way around that. Just in case anyone is wondering, the internal guitar speaker in the Amplifi 75 is a 15W 4 ohms "custom designed" speaker.
