The pre amps in Helix and in the StageScape mixer are TI Burr Brown digitally controlled analog mic pre amps. They are actually quite expensive and very high quality.

The Mute Mics button works like a mute group. When it is pressed and you mute or unmute a channel it will remember this. Just press Mute Mics and press the desired channel mutes.
  6. ArneLine6's post in How To Achieve Short "Effect Shots" was marked as the answer
You could assign a group to the FX return. Double click an empty encoder in setup mode and assign the desired FX to the group. Then you can use the group encoder to control the FX.

  9. ArneLine6's post in Ducking With Stagescape M20d? was marked as the answer
There are different DSP types you can assign per channel. One of them is, for example, Feedback control-> HiPass-> Gate-> 4 band compressor-> 6 band eq-> limiter. There is no sidechain implementation so you can not have one channel control another channels dynamics. You could get a similar result by going out of a monitor out with both channels and back into an input channel. This is a bit complicated but works.

You can absolutely do this. One sub for 2 L3's will work great and the crossover filters are set automatically.

  14. ArneLine6's post in Never Disconnect And Reconnect Ipad While Playing Or Recording! was marked as the answer
The wifi USB dongles antennas are not as powerful as a wifi router's antenna and that is why they are more sensitive to interference. In these days there is wifi everywhere even if it is not that visible. Digital Wireless Microphones, Smartphones, Tablets etc.
It makes sense to try different wifi channels since there is usally one or two channels that are just not available.
The USB to Ethernet adapter solution with a wifi router works usually better because the antenna is stronger and the position can be optimized.
  15. ArneLine6's post in Not Possible To Use I/o's Of L3m While L6 Link Plugged In? was marked as the answer
The Mix Out always carries all input signals and all inputs work simultaneously. So- yes it is possible and yes the speaker is able to use other I/O while L6 Link is being used.
  16. ArneLine6's post in How Can I Do Multi-track Recording With M20d? was marked as the answer
    Hi Harry,

The M20d does multitrack recording so you can mix the recording later with your computer. If you insert an SD card, go to the "Record" Page, select the recording path in the menu "select session" and press record all inputs are recorded as separate 24Bit/ 48kHz .wav files. You can select to record inputs and/ or the main mix.
