  1. PeterHamm's post in Helix Rack, Helix Control, Toe Switch as momentary switch? was marked as the answer
it is not available at this time. I do not know if it's possible. I guess I can't see why not, but I think it would be very unusable for most users, because you have to learn on the pedal the whole time you have that effect available.

That said, I think it might be cool for what you describe! There may be a way to do that, though!

Let's say you have a Wah and your chopper tremelo assigned to the same controller, set up the chopper in "Bypass Assign" to EXP 1 (or whatever EXP you're using, and set the "Position" parameter to something really high like 98 or 99% and the wait to something los, 0 or 10ms.

I bet that will do what you want.
  2. PeterHamm's post in How to correctly Pan was marked as the answer
If you want them to go ALL the way one way or the other and you're using the Pan block, it's Left 100 or Right 100.

Keep in mind you don't need to even bother with a pan a block, though. Go to the output block of each chain and there is a pan control. Use that instead.

Yes. This is in global. Easy to set.

Helix Control is merely a remote that only works, at this point, with Helix Rack. It does not work with any other product, and imho, it is likely to stay this way forever... with one caveat... I think with that unused USB port on there, it may at some point be possible to use it with Helix Native, but that is far in the future.

it is an excellent remote control for the Rack, but I'm sorry, that's all it is.
  5. PeterHamm's post in Using Looper with Helix Rack was marked as the answer
If you only play at home, you MIGHT be okay with some other controller, but the ability to use snapshots and turn stomps on and off easily is really amazing, as is pedal edit mode. You CAN get another device to do some of that stuff, but anyone who's used the package together might tell you that Control is really a must.

I play mostly at home right now, and STILL don't want to give all this functionality up.
  6. PeterHamm's post in XLR OUTPUTS was marked as the answer
So you don't have to worry about exactly where your knob is, just use a DI or mic level output and turn the output knob all the way up to avoid any added line noise.
  7. PeterHamm's post in HD500x XLR in mono? was marked as the answer
I used an HD 500 for years. Not only are you NOT losing sound quality, in my experience (and some others') the 1/4" output (with regular guitar cable) to a DI box to a balanced line sounded just a teeny bit BETTER than the XLR outs.

Don't use TRS cables. It's not a TRS connection.
  8. PeterHamm's post in Best Practices: Top volume level was marked as the answer
    It is probably this.

Honestly, to be safe and sound, I just run my 1/4" out to a DI box. Works great, sounds the same in the system as the XLR does.
  9. PeterHamm's post in Rack newbie questions was marked as the answer
    1. It's one of the lightest pieces of rack gear I've ever used. no problem even if you only used two screws (but use 4).

    2. Any cat 6 cable will work.

    3. I wouldn't extend the USB, but the audio? Sure! I don't know who makes it though.

  11. PeterHamm's post in "Learn Controller" parameters not saving on expression pedals was marked as the answer
Learn controller doesn't do what you think (or what I thought it would do, which is different from what you think)

It's not to learn positions, it's to learn WHICH controller you want. So... you select your parameter, and instead of manually selecting the controller, you push "learn controller and rock the pedal... THEN... you manually input the min and max.

I just figured this out recently.
  12. PeterHamm's post in Connections on Helix TRS or TS? was marked as the answer
The outputs are specified as unbalanced in the manual. The loops are not specified, but it FEELS like it's unbalanced when I plug something into it.
  13. PeterHamm's post in Model specified in the file is not recognized? was marked as the answer
I think you need a new version of the Helix Librarian.
  14. PeterHamm's post in EXP1 Won't Change Parameters Correctly --- new bug? was marked as the answer
The System Reset and pedal reset seem to have worked. I will know more at practice tonight.

    Thanks all!

Funny that it affected different parameters differently, that's why I didn't think it could be this.
