I got a Xenyx 302USB audio mixer (http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/302USB.aspx) that I bought to start recording with. I plugged the 1/4" guitar cable from the "MIC IN" part on the mixer to the "Phones" part on the flood pod plus, and then a 1/4" cable from "Input" on the FPP to my guitar. I can hear everything with the program I'm using to record/practice with on my computer, but it doesn't sound very good. I do have an external sound card which is the Sewell Soundbox External USB Soundcard "http://sewelldirect.com/USB-SoundBox-71-and-51-Sound-Card.asp" so the delay isn't as bad. When I'm playing though the guitar doesn't sound very good at all. I have the Floor Pod Plus set on Direct from "Amp/Direct" is there anything else I can do?

So I contacted tech support, but as it turns out they're not much help. I'm wondering how I can start recording and practicing through my computer with just my guitar and Floor Pod Plus. I read you need to have a Audio Interface so I chose this one. It has some pretty awesome reviews on it, and I'm not looking to spend much so I thought it'd be a good Audio Interface to buy. I guess my question is, would all I need to start recording through my computer be the Audio Interface, my guitar, and the Floor Pod Plus? How would I go about hooking it all up together? And what cables/connectors would I need? More of a detailed description would be helpful, but I guess anything at this point will do. Also if I hooked this all up could I just put in headphones through my computer and practice playing that way? Thanks in advance!
