  1. Well, I have the Pod Studio GX with Podfarm 2.55. Thanks for information about the 4 channels. I wasn't able to pick 3&4, it was set to show only 1&2 podfarm sends in my DAW. The reason I'm asking of all this stuff is this annoying "pop" sound which I'll probably get rid of when I change my soundcard.
  2. I thought of running Podfarm not in DAW, connecting guitar to Focusrite's instrument input 1, sending signal from that input to DAW and sending the same signal on one of outs. Connect that out with gx input and gx output sending on input 2 of Focusrite. In virtual mixer would be able to route signal from my DAW and from input 2 to speakers. I think it would do the trick, but I'm not sure if it's really possible to lower the latency so that it will be possible to play or will windows handle 2 cards simultaneously. What I want to get is clean signal on guitar track so that I will be able to run podfarm as plugin and have everything under control. Additionally I'd like to hear guitar with effects on it.
  3. OK I found the reason. Remember to set default format in windows to the same value in which your DAW operate. I found that I had 16bit 44,1kHz set for Windows and 24bit 44,1kHz in my DAW. I changed it to 24bit and problem is solved. Probably switching windows caused bit depth changes which were accompanied by the "pop" sound. But still the sound is present at system power up and shut down. I wonder if in other sound cards it works like this...
  4. But you still have to change through which device system sounds are being send and through which device you may record.
  5. Hi. I'm considering buying additional interface like Focusrite Saffire PRO 24. What I want to get is: - main outs on speakers via Focusrite - recording dry signal of my guitar to Reaper - playback from DAW on main outs - playing the guitar with "wet" signal on speakers while recording dry without noticeable latency Could You advice me how to do it? Is it possible?
  6. I bought it to use it without any additional equipment. If I knew that this is normal behaviour I would take under consideration NI Guitar Rig and different soundcard. I've noticed that sometimes the same pop sound occurs when I maximize Reaper's main window after being minimized. Mixer in this case would do nothing. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?
  7. As one may find in the manual: Be sure to always power off or mute your speakers or monitoring setup before connecting and disconnecting the USB cable between your Line 6 device and computer, as well as before booting up or shutting down your computer if the device is already connected. The best practice is to always power on your speakers last, and power them off first when connected to other audio gear to avoid a “pop†which could be damaging to your speakers (or to your ears!). Engineering didn't predict that in some cases active monitors have their volume knob on the back side! How I may do it? Every time I start or close the system take my 10kg monitor off the shelf and turn the volume knob down?????!!!
  8. I know that in manual is an info about a "pop" sound after pod gx gets voltage from usb. Basically it should do it every time it is connected to a power supply (by that i mean usb of course). The problem is that i hear that hit/bum/pop sound every time a video player or an audio player goes in focus. It sounds like the device is in iddle mode before an aplication is run or in focus. It worries me because this pop is loud enough to damage in time my speakers. Did you notice anything like that?
  9. Hi. First thing is that I'm selling gx. Do I have to only deauthorise unit in license manager or do I have to do something more so that a new owner will be able to use it? Second thing, if I bought an add-on for my gx will I be able to install and use it with a new UX2 unit without incurring additional costs? Are these add-ons assigned to gx or to my user account?
