I typically run FRFR with a pair of CLR Neo wedges, but I recently re-tubed my 2:90 and ran that into my 30th anniversary Marshall 4x12 for fun. Sounded wonderful, but way too loud.

Helix fx loop send 1 to triaxis input, triaxis left out to helix fx loop return, enjoy.
Cheers.

I just can't stop playing with new Cartographer amp model.
And thanks to phil_m for sharing Ben's detailed notes in the Helix 2.3 Tips thread.
Happy Thanksgiving!

FWIW, I have seen similar behavior for footswitches with multiple parameter assignments from different blocks.
Cheers!

Active = built in power amp
Passive = requires external power amp

Thanks for the reply but I still can't find the factory IRs anywhere?? They are not in the documents IR folder from my backup and I can't find them anywhere else? Another issue I now am noticing is that every time I power on the Helix it goes through the process of rebuilding Presets and starts counting through them. Takes a minute or two to boot the Helix unit. Is this correct? I don't remember it doing this prior to the 2.0 upgrade. It seemed to boot much faster and I don't remember it counting presets?
there are no factory IRs. Just cab models.

I'm using one that's 12 or 15 feet. No problems, even recording multiple channels of digital audio.
same here, 15 feet, no issues.

Can you link to an example maybe? I am researching this option currently. Really, I guess what I am after is approx two more foot switches, though more cannot hurt. I don't want to break the bank to get them.

There are Digital Outputs on the backpanel - It just controls the level of this.
It is not for playback via usb.
thanks for the correction. note to self "coffee before posting". ☺ï¸

i believe it's for controlling playback volume for (apple) devices connected via usb.

Can i revert back to the original tuner display without the enhanced view?
there is no going back to the old tuner display. just ignore the new -3,+3 bar and the tuner operates the same as before.

i see the same behavior you decribe for that preset.

set the input to variax or multi

it's an indicator that at least one parameter in that patch has changed. i don't think you can disable it.
since you are using a Variax, any guitar knob changes will also show the indicator.

with the 3 Sigma IRs, I usually set the level @ -21.5 db, which typically matches the loudness of a stock cab block. for reference, I'm running FRFR into a pair of Atomic wedges.

per-preset on the input block

Downstream mono blocks (including the looper) should not affect stereo signals when bypassed.
Thanks for setting me straight, DI. :)
OK then, I stand corrected. First I've ever heard of bypassed gear affecting anything.
And now I stand corrected. :D
Cheers.

I believe that placing any mono block after a stereo stereo block will always result in a mono signal, regardless of the bypass setting.

Are you sure you restored your presets using the newest (v1.04) Helix application?I think I figured it out. This firmware does not seem to recognize the new models they did in the last update! I have patches that used the Teemah and Autofilter for example and those models and their settings are gone from my patches amongst other things. Nightmare
cheers.
