Would it be possible to have the electronic/modeling section from the Variax in a pedalboard and using a pickup installed in our favorite guitar?

I can choose the device but Variax is not there, only The Podxt

Hi everyone! I'm new to Variax. I connect to my computer with the USB interface using the ethernet cable. I can use Workbench and it is working fine. When I use Live Monkey, the only thing it does is offering me to update a POD.... which I don't have. Is it normal ? I thought that it should see the Variax and that I would be able to update the firmware of the JTV, am I wrong? Thanks Yvan
