  1. Thanks for the (I was going to say feedback here..-s) reply Don. I'm sure I won't have damaged my speaker but I feel it's pain when it happens! I am going to have to give serious thought to cancelling that North Pole gig now though.
  2. I managed to induce some squealing feedback on my system the other night. It was completely my fault, I dangled a microphone right in front of a stage monitor (l2m). I know feed back is not great for speakers but it got me thinking whether with all L6 components connected, is it still possible to damage the speakers if one is not careful? Or is there sufficient protection in there to not worry about it? All the limiters on the speakers are set to 12.
  3. The announcement that appeared for a short while linked to a page that announced the arrival of version 1.2 firmware. There were features relating to a switchable fader view together with presets created by some top sound engineers for the system.... We shall have to wait and see I guess!
  4. Haha! Excellently informative post Don! Lol. I'm trying to decipher the code in those smiley's!
  5. Could have been a small slip up! If those features are coming though, could be very interesting...
  6. Is it here already?! Announcement made about v1.2 with a download link but its still just showing ver 1.1...
  7. Very exciting announcement I just saw on the top of the forum page about the release of version 1.2...but I followed the download link and its not up there yet...Are you just teasing us?!
  8. Thanks for the feedback. Yes definitely stopped recording before turning off. We have more gigs coming up so I will take a bit more notice to the order of what I'm doing this time in case it happens again. Will report back!
  9. Hi all, I had a gig last night which was the first real test of our new stagescape system. Happy to report that it sounded amazing and everyone was totally impressed with our sound so I am a very happy sound man! We were running the m20 into l3's as mains and l2's for monitors. There were however a couple of anomolies which I'm scratching my head about. Because we were in a bit of a rush to set up and sound check I didn't have much time to investigate at the time but I'm wondering if anyone might have experienced similar. I'm running version 1.1 software on the mixer. The first was during the sound check. I tried using quick capture. We had a bass direct, guitar direct, mandolin and 2 vocal mics. All channels recorded and played back fine with the exception of the guitar?! It was coming through the PA fine so it wasn't a level issue. Has anyone had this before? Second one was a recording issue onto SD card. I have read all the posts on this and I'm aware that there are a few quirks with this at the moment. The issue was this: The first half of the gig recorded beautifully. I pressed stop at the interval and then record again at the start of the second half. When I got back home and insterted the card into my pc there were empty files for the second half.. No setup changes, didn't remove the card. Literally just pressed stop and then record again....There was plenty of storage space on the card, it was a clean 32gb card at the start of the gig. Would welcome any thoughts on the above. I'm loving the system and as I'm fairly new to the desk I am completely open to the fact that the above may have been down to pilot error but I would love to get to the bottom of them for next time. Thanks in advance.
  10. Hi all, I was very excited about using the media player with a foot switch to play our backing tracks but unfortunately this is just not possible in a live situation. We need a single track play setting. Whilst you can advance the playlist to the next song with the footswitch and stop start a track, without single track playback this is not practical. Hopefully a firmware update will fix this!!
