  1. That would be great. But can it be done for existing Gx/Ux1/Ux2 hardware?
  2. Anyone you like, I like 'em all :) Just listening to Throw down the sword.
  3. Would you be kind to play us some tunes from Argus? It is one of my fav all time rock albums. PS. Really guys what are you waiting for. Been clicking all over youtube to hear some Roland jc 120 amp.
  4. I will eventually, it really seems like a normal deal as oppose to those two you mentioned.
  5. And yeah we're all gonna live in 6000 square meter houses wih tvs so large that will make movie theaters run out of business.
  6. I understand you can use crap as guitar rig with UX1 if that's your point, but I love Pod Farm 2, everything about it, I didn't mind paying for addons. In fact like I said I'm more then satisfied, because I learned so many things trough it. But, to make a parallel with video cards, when time comes for things like pod hd 500x I want to know where is that point where I can say I'm totally ok with hd I don't need to go 4k, cause its absurd. You catch my drift now?
  7. I bought my PC 4 years ago and now it's totally outdated, no drivers for my video card, nothing. I could change, new card, get the drivers, but it seems to me like somebody is forcing me to do so. At least I know that technology will not change from top to bottom, at least in the near future. So I'm left with choice of settling with my Hd picture and not running to buy me something as absurd as 4k resolution. But this is far different. So many products to choose from, applications for this and that, and then you get one thing, then another completely different comes out shortly. Its like chasing the rabbit. Rabbit being the best possible sound of course.
  8. Can somebody explain in few words what is going on with these packs, addons whatever. I went crazy first time when I bought UX1, I didn't have all information about the product. To tell you the truth I was little aggravated for not knowing that I had to purchase addons for it. But like I said it's my fault. Never the less I'm more then satisfied and don't regret a single dollar. I plan to buy Pod hd 500X in the future, and I want to know is this process gonna be like ongoing, with with every new firmware you have to buy something or not? Please excuse my ignorance, I'm total rookie when it comes to these things.
  9. Two days ago I had surreal conversation with one of my music heroes. The person I really really have at most respect in music world, more closely, a gothic rock, darkwave genre. Believe it or not after awhile I had the nerv to ask her if she could take her time to listen to one of my guitar lines I did on my UX1. I said it's only an idea I had, and it's done on a ''simple'' guitar interface, I don't know anything about mixing, so nothing is mixed, polished or anything. Basically press record and save. But I said this is how I imagine a theme for a crow movie. And she responded this is great, I can hear that you really know your James O ' Barr :)))))))))
  10. One my fav new collaborations The Eden House (Mission UK, Fields of Nephilim, Adoration etc.) in lab :) And whats that gadget on 0:57 ? Yup Line 6 you rock :)
  11. Beaves and Butthead :) Good old days. Ok...Now it's time for Ministry. Cheers!
  12. Currently this. Very simple guitars. Both playing and effects. But this song is just awesome.
  13. Thank you very much for your reply, Yes I'm using Ux1. and I already have made those changes in Reapers preferences. I was just wondering about the levels, quality of the sound in general, seems like most of the people here run their Podfarm when in Reaper. Made me think that I'm missing out on something, but as you said yourself that's only for more tweaking. Usually what I do is I import my fav song in reaper, and then just play along, maybe make some changes in positioning of my guitar. Then if I don't screw badly :) maybe I'll go and record it all together. Most of my friends use amps and multiprocessor effects, and sometimes I record stuff just to hear them go nuts because of what this little black box can do. Anyways thanks again.
  14. First of all I like to apologize for my english. Not my first language... It's been a while since I've been using Podfarm, and most of the time I use it to play along to some stuff from youtube. I have reaper on my PC, but to be honest it's a new and strange beast for me. I use it only to record thing or two in the most basic kinda fashion. I know it's a learning process, but for now, can somebody please find the time to explain difference, soundwise between running podfarm along with reaper and running podfarm as a plugin in reaper? Is there a difference in pre-processed tone, like better quality when you run it alongside or as plugin, or is it the same thing, but you only have more tweaks with reaper to manipulate further tone you already modeled in podfarm?
  15. Eventually I know I'm gonna end up buying something like hd500x, but before I do, I wanna get a kick out of this little black box (UX1) I grew to love. I hope Line 6 wont put aside its software and will continue to upgrade it.
  16. I'm wondering if, in the future, Line 6 will ever try to simulate more amps? It would be nice to have something close to Friedman's Naked or Brown eye. Just a question. :) I don't wanna come of as greedy, cause I'm still exploring this wonderful software and what I have...Got most of the addons except bass exp. And if by any chance any of you guys have a suggestion how to recreate sound of these great amps (especially Friedmans Naked) with those which are already included in addons, please share your knowledge. Thanks.
  17. Thank you for your posts, I really really appreciate it. Currently I'm not thinking about home studio, but nevertheless it would be good to have that option. Also, everybody seem to be on the same page with these JBLs. Sounds like a top notch in this price range?
  18. Like I said I've been looking on youtube for solution, but there is just to many different products to choose from. Like for example one guy pointing Krk Rokit 5 monitors, other one saying those are good, only problem is in their low freq, so forget about bass, Then someone suggests m audio av 40 or bx5 d2, instantly you have like 20 people saying don't buy that piece of sh...rather go and buy logitech 2.1. .And they give you like tons of information but only about products specs, yet you cannot really decide, because let's face it, any sound test on youtube is processed. I know I'm making a big deal out of this but, we are all audiophiles here, aren't we not?
  19. It's been a year almost since I started using UX1 and I gotta say I still sometimes can't believe what is coming out of this little black box. :) All this time I've been listening trough my headphones, and I wanna buy a decent set of speakers. So what is the best solution, I've been looking on youtube, there are people praising Hi Fis, others suggest studio monitors, and then there are those who say that a simple 2.1 system would suffice. I'm lost in the sea of all these products. I just wanna have something that will give me accurate tone from pod farm, and something with good stereo sound for music. Something in range lets say 200-300 USD. Other thing confusing, many people on youtube go like this is good for electro music, this is good for hip hop, ok what is good for metal or rock in general ? :)
  20. I'm not saying you should place one above others, I'm just wondering about that particular type of sound that made you wanna buy your gear and start playing it. For example many people who wanted to play trash metal would focus on the sound of San Francisco metal bands in the late 80s. And they would copy those bands gear, trying to get that crunchy trash sound I have a friend who always says when asked, what is your fav guitar, he goes Stratocaster, Why? Well, my fav sound is the sound of Pink Floyd, Ergo strat. For me it is this gloomy, dark, slightly distorded, with lots of sustain and delay Type O sound :))))))) Cheers
  21. I'm guessing everyone has one or two favs. Maybe we can share some ideas how to recreate it. Here's mine.
  22. There is a guy on youtube, if you haven't already come across, with unreal sounds, he was the one who actually got me into toneports. Check it out You can find the links for the tone settings on his channel.
  23. It seems that Audacity doesn't recognize UX1 ASIO at all. Nevermind. I've switch to Reaper, and I've set its device to run with UX1 ASIO and I also added vts plugins from pod farm. Finally I'm hearing the recorded stuff as it should be. Thanks everyone.
  24. Hi everyone, I don't know if this question was already asked, but the thing is I'm new to all of this so please do excuse. I'm using ux1 with this newest Pod farm, and I'm using simple audacity app. The problem I have is that every single thing I go and record seems to come out dry as hell. Especially if I'm using distorsion pedals with compressors... I've been looking on youtube, and many people seem to have similar problem but either they are not aware of it, or they just don't care. Only few users are making those great sounding wet signals, but they don't wanna share their knowledge. Any ideas how to fix this?
