  1. I'd bring it to the shop and hopefully they have someone who can trouble shoot it. At this age the contacts may be corroded or it could be something much more difficult to repair (assuming it is repairable of course).
  2. I'm doing my undergrad research on DSP and want to use this since I've always loved music and want to get into making effects. I'm in the process of installing VirtualBox to load in a 32 bit version of Windows, but I have a $1800 gaming rig with enough power that this won't be more than an annoyance to me. Wish they'd churn their dev tools through a modern compiler, but even Freescale won't update their C utilities for the DSP that powers this thing (and therein lies the root cause of Line6 not upgrading) so good luck.
  3. You would probably have to map the current potentiometers to the modules ports, find a free one, and then solder in the device then enable it is input in code. From what I understand from my readings this should work, but YMMV of course and you risk damaging the module with heat.
