  1. To the Line 6 Helix team: Can we use the other Mission expression pedals with the Helix or are we still stuck with the Mission Line 6 Expression pedal?
  2. Can the Helix do dual outputs like this: Output 1: Tube Power amp with pre amp sim on. Cab sim off. Output 2: Out to House PA amp sim on, Cab sim on.
  3. They said not out of the box. Maybe after a firmware update or something. So...vote up, dude! http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Switchless-or-Spring-loaded-Wah-mode-for-Helix/739780-23508
  4. Wow. It looks smaller than an HD500x. I just have questions regarding that big screen... How resistant is it to scratches, cracking or minor bumps? I owned Zoom G3s, Digitech RPs etc and the screens show a lot of fine scratches after months of use. Overtime, the screen becomes riddles with scratches all over and the it's hard to see through it especially under the sun or under strong fluorescent light. How durable is it?
  5. Thanks for the answers! Really looking forward to trying this one out personally! Hopefully, with the dual dsp chips, I can plug in to a power amp and cab onstage then send out my signal to the mixer with the cab modelling on.
  6. Hey DI! I posted a question on sevenstring.org, but wasn't able to read your answer before the mods intervened. So just let me ask here again since I'm really curious about some features of the Helix... a) Will The Helix be able to do switchless wah for its expression pedal? Will it be able to support spring loaded expression wahs right out of the box? Or at least program an expression pedal to have the wah come in as soon as I move the treadle and come off as soon as i return it to zero position or take my foot off the pedal. You know? Morley Bad Horsie style like the switchless wah mode on Fractals and Atomics. b)4 Cable Mode on the HD500X is a pain! We had to play with levels in the I/Os and mixer to get into unity level with a tube amp. And that Unity level is HARD to zero in with the POD. What are the improvements in the Helix that will address integration in 4cm with tube amps? Will you still have to contend with volume and tone loss in the effects loop depending on what amp you are connecting to? Thanks!!! Killer floorboard here guys!
  7. Hey man. I have a 6505+ but I have been jamming with an EVH 5150III 100watt head. I think I am close to a better sound like when plugged straight. Still a work in progress, but I'm still developing my settings. You can try it if you want. I have the same settings when Im using the 6505+ and the 5150III Mixer ChA- -4.5db panned center Mixer ChB- -4.5db panned center Put studio Studio EQ before efx loop Studio EQ 80hz Bass +0.2db Gain +8.2db Efx Loop setting- No Change Guitar Input Z 3.5M Input 1 Guitar Input Same 1/4 out switch set to amp Guitar in switch to normal Stack Power Amp mode Inputs setup set to Global Back switch set to Stomp Master Volume 100%
  8. Hey guys! I just got an HD500X and it is awesome. Been doing 4CM and following guides in the JVM forums and youtube. My settings are ok for the most part but I think Im still having some volume/tone loss somewhere in the chain. Is there anyone here who got 4CM setting for 5150/5150II/6505/6505+ heads that's really close to the tone of the amp when you plug straight? So far here are my settings. Tried this in gig volumes. I'm 70% near the "plugged in straight" tone. Thanks!
