I'm wondering if the JTV-69 pickups run through extra circuitry, rather than direct to pots to output jack.? I ask because it seems like the single coil pickups are hotter yet brighter than the pickups on my strat. Thanks much all.

Hello. I have an older JTV-69 that I bought used (not sure year, but probably when they first came out), and the neck finish is on the glossy side (maybe more like semi-gloss). From playing a new model JTV-69, I noticed that the neck finish is very matte, almost feeling like bare wood. I much prefer the feel of the older neck with the glossy finish. Does any one know when Line 6 switched finishes?

And would you say there's a sound improvement with the well-functioning Graphtech saddles?

Hi. Does anyone know if there's a way to get Variax Workbench to run in Mavericks? I get the error posted here: http://line6.com/support/topic/4521-variax-workbench-wont-launch-on-mavericks/ I don't want to use HD and firmware 2.0 because to my ears the models are much worse, overall, unfortunately. Thanks, Avi
