    Ok! I've got an official response from Line 6 support saying that (currently) the FVB Express MKII does not work when the remote app is open. This feature will be available soon in a firmware update. Hopefully some more features will come with this promising update!

    I have the same problem... I've contacted Line 6 support and they told me to upgrade the firmware. I've sent a message back saying that I have the latest one (1.00.5). I am still waiting for their reply.

    I have the same problem regarding switching effects when the remote app is connected. Has anybody managed to change effects when the remote app is connected?
