I had the same problem. I bailed and downloaded Line 6 updater and installed 3.5 from there. It was flawless and I'm good to go. Hope this helps!

Hi, I'm having the same problem. I have a Helix LT and got half way through when the Boot Failure error came up with no way to resume. I downloaded the latest Line 6 Updater but my MacBook Pro won't open it because Apple can't check for malicious software. This is why I never download new upgrades until the bugs have been worked out, but 3.5 sounded so great I used poor judgement. Any Suggestions. Right now I'm screwed. I'm running Big Sur operating system. Thanks!

I'm curious if anyone has tried using the effects from a POD HD500X into an HX Stomp? I seem to remember that the POD had pretty good effects overall. I have one sitting around collecting dust and you can't get much for them on Reverb. I guess it would be a poor man's HX Effects and if it works it would help out with the DSP. Any settings adjustments needed from using it straight into an amp?

If you look at the Boss ES-8 manual it shows you how to set it up for the 4CM. https://rolandus.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205748545-ES-8-Four-Cable-Method-Connections You need to assign the HX Stomp to one of the loops in the ES-8. I have it set up so that my overdrive/distortion pedals go into the pre-amp of my Hot Rod Deluxe. The Stomp, delay, and reverb go to the effects loop of the amp. Works great and I have everything midi controlled and that makes switching settings very easy. I too have some great pedals that I love to use and don’t want to eliminate, so my Stomp presets are made up of pre-amp models (no cabs), compressors, and EQ. So far, the results have been great. I spend a lot of time experimenting to dial in the right tone. The best tip I can share is to make sure you set your Stomp's global EQ to the following: Low Cut (80Hz - approx) & High Cut (8 - 10khz - approx). I picked this up from Rhett Shull’s YouTube video on making modelers feel more like a tube amp - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J02heFTwEXY. It gets rid of the majority of fizz and mimics a tube amp/speaker’s natural roll-off. I hope this helps.

I would love to see Line 6 take after the iTunes model for music selection. Let the end user cherry-pick the amp models they want , so you don't have to spend the bread for stuff you are never going to use. I would love to get the new & improved JCM 800 and the 5150, but couldn't care less about the others. I doubt I'll purchase either model pack. The customer is always right!

Not sure. I'm a tactile learner, so I will have to go through the steps. This is pretty much what I thought. However, I was under the impression that this would work only for non-stereo effects. I also toyed with the idea of plugging my guitar into the input of a P-splitter and branching off to the clean/wet amp (A) and also branching off to the effects amp (B) with the POD in the chain. Anyway, thanks for your input. I will experiment until something works. I have committed to not partaking of any food stuffs or sleep until I have resolved this issue to my complete satisfaction. Naw...just kidding. I'm munching down right now on a serious slice of deep dish pizza as we speak!! :0) Thanks again!

Hey Gang, Can anyone tell me if the HD500x can be used as an ABY switcher like a Voodoo Labs. Palmer or Lehle? I have 2 amps that I want to split. One clean/wet and the other with effects from the POD. I tried doing a search here but came up empty. Any thoughts would be very helpful.
