  1. All completed today so easy, using L6 link and AES / EBU cable within spec i.e.15m or less lenghts between L2M speakers, the system auto configure saw and assigned the speakers correctly as LL & RR amazing. Easy to setup for test, will advise progress after first soundcheck and over the next Month. Came with current firmware installed and no issues so far. Thanks to all for your advice prior to install.
  2. Can any one advise if: 1. wall plates (xlr) are used between the M20D L6 link (AES/EBU) cable to the first speaker and between each L6 Link to each speaker will break the L6 Link and cause problems, we are considering using AES/EBU cable throughout but having wall plates so that cables are hidden because we are a church.. 2. the distance between all L6 link cables is less than 15mts as specified, but once installed we will not have any optin of analogue XLR connections, is this wise? 3. Finally referring to no 1 above, is it ok to join two AES/EBU cables using neutrik gold pin XLR's or does any join interupt the digital L6 Link and cause problems. Any advise welcomed as a matter of urgency, cables already laid behind the walls are all AES/EBU as specified for the L6 link connections. Thanks Phil M20D and 4x L2m 14mtr is the longest cable run and between speaker 2 and 3 in the system. Attached Thumbnails
  3. Does the earth hum happen when you use the ~L6 digital Link to connect or just when using the regular XLR connections?

  5. Thanks for your input guy's, yes it's an old OS but solid as a rock with Logic Pro 9, i have installed the HD500 edit on my iMac running 10.6.8 and it works great so at least i can edit patches on another computer as a work around. I found on my Quad Core (main Mac) that i had an old Line 6 account with a different user name so i signed in with my current account and registered my new JTV69 along with my HD500, good news is i mamaged to get the drivers all working it's just the HD500 edit that is the problem, the other software is all good. I'll look at this further when i get back from my tour (10days) starting tomorrow. Anyone thing that having an old account could have casused the problem? the flash and firmware loaded a treat no problems. if the problem was caused by my old account anyone know how to fix it? I might just be grasping at straws? thanks again folks.
  6. I updated my HD500 firmware and flash, however now i cannot get the HD500 edit to open just crashes everytime I'm running 10.5.8 osx, tried everything i can think of including new drivers and full uninstall and re-install and eventually by using Monkey i managed to get the drivers recognised and the usb audio driver installed, but still no HD500 edit. Variax HD is working great when connected thro the HD500. So not all bad at least i can record via USB again, i do miss the HD500 edit. I have opened a ticket but i will be on a short tour for 10 days so will have to wait to fix this issue, hopefully it can resolve.
