I just got a Helix Rack about 6 months ago...I am using it thru my Yamaha HS7 Monitors....When playing at low volumes, it sounds great, but if I turn up the volume a bit, the sound gets thin, muddy,and loses all articulation and punch...I am not talking super high volumes, just maybe a little louder than you could talk over....I have done all the low and high cuts, and have many Ownhammer IR's...There is a low mid woofie-ness that I can't seem to dial out....How loud does anybody else play their monitors and still sound good?I know it should sound better than it does...I am still pretty new to the Helix,so I know it could be something I am not doing right....I was thinking of adding a mixer that I could run the helix into, then control the volume with the mixer...just wondering if the mixer with its EQ and preamp would make everything sound better??I currently have the Helix connected directly into the Yammies,with the volume on full out, then I control the overall volume on the big knob....I play mostly 80's Hard Rock...VH,Ozzy,Priest,etc.....
