  1. Hi All. I'd like to find out more about the thread about connecting helix via spdif. I have an apolo and a helix with studio one but I'm really stuck in copying what I've read with regards to the routing. Any advice would be great
  2. Avid wont help as i'm out of my support period, waste of £1100 eh?
  3. Thanks mate, I think your right, I get the bing bongs when I connect and I can edit the Helix via the edit app so the cable should be ok, i'll try it anyway, Cheers
  4. Yeah i've done that, still doesn't show, I might take it right off and then re install the Helix driver but im losing hope
  5. Hi, Thanks for your reply. I tried that already as it happens but all I can see is more inputs which I don't have. My mbox is the mini and only has 2. Nothing labelled USB is listed. When I have Helix as the playback engine, im still getting sound in and out of protools via the mbox, I'm not sure at this point whether its Protools or the Helix. I've no reason to think the Helix might be the problem as I can update it via their app without problems. Is ChilBillyScot Scott still having trouble? So frustrating
  6. Hi, Im having the same issue on Windows 7 Protools 11, I can edit patches via USB with the app so I figured the driver is ok- but in and outs do not show. I can switch to the Helix driver in the playback engine but still nothing shows. Strange .....
  7. Hi All, I'm not sure if this is the right place but I've checked and I cant find this topic anywhere, i'm pretty sure it must have been discussed before now. anyway. I'm a bit new here a proper stuck. I have installed the Helix driver onto my x64 W7 machine, when the Helix is connected, I can select the driver in the playback engine in Protools 11 but the USB 1&2 or whatever doesn't appear in my list of ins/outs. When I revert back to the Avid Mbox drivers in the playback engine, I can see inputs for it no problem. I can edit the patches via USB when using the Helix editor. I'm not sure if its a driver issue (because editing is possible) or Protools messing about, Has anyone heard of this issue at all? Cheers
