  1. I have clip-on tuners and they work well, but I don't want to deal with them on a gig trying to tune an upright. Plus I hate the way they look on instruments. I want this tuner in the G70 to be better so I can ditch all other tuners.
  2. Don't get me wrong...I love the G70. It's given me seemingly bulletproof reception and great sound every time since I got it in April. And while I didn't buy it because it has a tuner, in theory it's a great idea to have one in it. But while it tunes accurately and does sort of OK with electric bass, it's pretty slow to pick up on the strings, and when I try to tune my upright bass with a nice piezo pickup, I can't get it to pick up the D and A strings at all. I really resent having a tuner pedal taking up space on my pedalboard that a fun pedal could be using, and I'm hoping the G70's tuner could be improved with a firmware update. Not expecting you to turn it into a Peterson strobe tuner, of course, but it would be great if I could at least use it with the upright. Is this possible? If so, you will have my undying gratitude as well as many others. If not, oh well...it's still a killer wireless.
  3. I just played a venue with my new G70 that was notorious for dropouts using my old X2 SDS-95, and not a single dropout, even though I tried very hard to make it happen. Same pedalboard, same position on the board, same monitor in front of it, and not a single dropout.
  4. I just got a G70 and was concerned about this, too, as I was using an old pair of X2 SDS-95's that had occasional line of sight dropout issues when I'd wander off into the crowd. Last night I played a venue that was notorious for these dropouts, and under the exact same conditions that I used the X2's (mounted on pedalboard, monitor in front of it), the G70 gave me zero dropouts. Can't call this conclusive yet, but I was mightily encouraged by its performance.
