  1. After trying the HX One with amplifiers that have gain, I have to say I'm completely disappointed with Line 6. I had the same problem with the first HX Stomp pedals, and they fixed it later... They had a lot of hiss, just like the HX One. This pedal is only useful in a chain with clean amplifiers that don't use a distorted channel. It's a great idea, an evolution of the M5 (which didn't introduce any noise), with better sounds and features, but with a serious flaw for those of us who use amplifiers with distorted channels. The hiss is unbearable. It's a real shame, but I'm going to return the pedal. I can't understand how a company like Line 6 can make these mistakes after so much time and development since the POD. Now I see that the comments pointing out this problem are true; I wish I had read them sooner.
  2. It's not the same to use the HX One with a clean amp as with a boosted amp; that's where you really see if it introduces noise. (You can have the same hiss problem with overdrive or distortion pedals). I recently bought an HX One and haven't yet been able to test if it introduces noise with a boosted amp (I have a Blueguitar, a Marshall JVM 205H, and a Plexi). I had a similar issue a while ago with an early HX Stomp, which was very noisy (hissing), but didn't produce any hiss with an M5. I sold the HX Stomp, and later tried a new one I borrowed, and it didn't introduce any noise either. I think it might be a manufacturing defect in some units, or in the early models, as happened with the HX Stomp.

    TAP TEMPO

I recently bought the unit, and I can't get the tap tempo to work on the delays. Do I need to activate some setting?
  4. The problem is HX Stomp ... my unit I sold, made a ot of hiss in every Fx loop amp in a channel with gain. Of course other units did not make that hiss. You will hear do this, or do that, there is nothing to do, just conecting Hx stomp to a Fx loop in an amp that has a gain channel will make more hiss than most of known pedals that's it ..... Also a M5 or M9 from Line 6 .... I don't know if Line 6 have fixed this with the new units ...
