  1. If that driver is the one included in the 4.4.0 kernel it won't work with the HD500X yet. But it references HD300, HD400 and HD500.   2. I will be going down the same POD HD500X rabbit hole of drivers soon. Seeing how this thread is several years old, I will probably need to learn how to write these drivers myself.
