  1. Seems like this forum as well as Line6 support is just as dead as that link. A bit disapointing I gotta say
  2. So ... Got myself a flextone iii xl cheap and used. Always regretted selling mine back when, so here we are again. I remembered there was an update with some nice changes to snoop models and cabs ... Still found the line 6 announcement page which luckily is still online here: https://line6.com/news/general/66/ Following that link and it says no sw packages for flex iii. Any chance U line6 folks could dig that up and make it available again? I know it's an old amp, but Thahaaanx
  3. Have U checked if the volume podi has gotten a loose connection? That would be my first guess

    amp for pod x3 live

thx silverhead. I watched that video before. I haven't been able to find a decent active FRFR speaker in my desired price range. Plus, wouldn't the poweramp in those active FRFR alter the sound also? So what would be the difference between using an old flextone (clean without any cab model) instead? The flextone combos are REALLY cheap these days and if the x3 live ever goes I would still be able to play with some decent sounds - compared to getting an active FRFR that is fairly useless on it's own. Can anybody tell me if there is much or any sound difference of the Flextone ii tubetone speakers and the Flextone iii Celestions? Thanks a lot

    amp for pod x3 live

thx silverhead! Google spat out the Marshall Code 212 Cabinet when I typed in FRFR speaker. Do these sound any good? Will that suffice or will I need an extra amp to go through that? thx
  6. Hey all, have had my good old pod x3 live for a while now and still more than happy with it. Been playing with it through my headphones or my home stereo or straight into PA or gigs. I am now looking for an amp I can play it through so I can share my noise at home. Thing is I don't wanna be changing the sound too much. I was thinking about one of the old Flextone III combos as I still prefer the looks of them over any spider amp. However since that comes with a built in PODxt (from memory) I am thinking (besides it being overkill) my pod x3 sound will be altered which I don't want. Also the Flex III seems to have Celestion speakers where as the Flex II has Line6's Tubetones. Is there much of a difference between these two speakers? Thx
  7. Hi, I have an old pod x3 live. Loving the sounds ... now just got an AMplifi75 and since that doesn't come with an option to switch tones mid song with my feet, I am wanting to use my Podx3 live for that. Is that possible and if so how do I set this up? also can I just copy my podx3 library over somehow or do I need to upload these tones to the custom tone library and download them onto amplifi that way? cheers
  8. Ended up calling Line6 support. They were REALLY helpful.... if anybody else runs into this ... don't download the whole package that comes if u search for the x3 software. Get GearBox, monkey, podfarm, the drivers and the licensing tool all separately to get the latest available files. Now works like a charm
  9. Hi All, recently bought a used PodX3Live again ( I used to own one a few years back and just missed it too much). I am having a couple of issues though in regards to connecting it to my computer. I went to the Line6Software download page, selected my model and OS (win7) and downloaded the suggested SW and installed it. Gear Box recognizes it and I was able to back up all the current settings (however I wasn't able to backup just one of the tones). Monkey however only recognizes it as PODXT not PODX3Live. Also - even though my internet works (as well as the username I am using to type this) - it keep stelling me it can't connect to the Line6Servers. Please help. thank you Ron
