  1. My unit is at my studio right now and I don't know when I'm getting over there again yet...but with the release of HX Edit over the weekend, I plan on playing pretty hard with it and can probably take screenshots to show you how I did it.
  2. This is possible to do, there's a trick to it. Unfortunately my HX Effects pedal is at my studio, so I'm just going by a picture of my current pedalboard setup. IIRC, what I did was plug my main instrument into input 1, the secondary instrument in input 2, used the A/B splitter first in the effect chain and panned both hard left and hard right. One they finally release HX Edit with HX Effects support, and I can screenshot what I did. And for the record, I'm not plugging 2 instruments in; I play two multiple output instruments (a Chapman Stick and a modified Squire VI) and specifically bought the pedal to handle what you're asking for. Attaching a picture of my pedalboard setup: you'll see I'm using a insert cable for input, the blue end is path A, and the red end (direct to the back of the HX Effects) is path B. Cheers!
  3. I may have found a solution (have not tried it yet but should work, only got the pedal 2 days ago). Set up a preset that will use both Path A and Path B. In Path A, set up the bass side of the instrument using what you might normally use (for me, usually a Phase 90, Send/Return from an external Sans Amp) In Path B, set up a volume block set to 0 (to mute the input signal), followed by a second Send/Return block and whatever effects chain you want for the treble side. When plugging in the instrument, plug the bass side into the left input and the treble side into Return 1/2--and make sure the return you use is the one you assigned to the Path B block. While I know this is not a common setup for most, one of the main reasons I bought the HX Effects in the first place was to give myself the ability to fully utilize any split output instrument I have (I have a Chapman Stick and a specially modified Squire VI in which the 2 lower strings go through a bass output, and the top four through the treble, with the ability to send all 6 strings together). If anyone has any other suggestions, I am definitely all ears!
  4. Hi all, brand new HX Effects user. I have a question regarding using the HX Effects unit with instruments that do split outputs (think Chapman Stick): Is it possible to plug one side of the instrument's output into the left input, and the other side to the right...and then be able to set up two paths within the HX Effects to route the signals onto two different block paths? As an example, said Chapman Stick has a bass side and a treble side. I'd like to be able to route the bass side through one path and the treble side to another. All of my TRS-based instruments (I have two) are connected to a pedal board using (what amounts to) an insert cable. Many thanks in advance!

    Mic input questions

Not to hijack this thread at all but...I just got an HX Effects (really looking forward to playing with it), and I was wondering if you could something similar with it. I have a Chapman Stick and a modded Squire VI, both of which use split pickups (as in, using a TRS cable from the instrument to two TR ends), and I would absolutely LOVE to be able to have the higher sides of the instruments plugged into the R input, and be able to route them on separate paths. I did look through the owners manual pretty hard and I'm not entirely sure this is possible? Super many thanks in advance!
