  1. I have an HX Effects and I'm looking for a way to use one expression pedal to control both wah and whammy, and to be able to switch between them, without using one of the 6 assignable footswitches (because they are already assigned to other things). I understand now that HX Effects doesn't support an external footswitch (only external pedals) - pity, it would have solved my problem! So I have the following idea - has anyone ever tried it?: - Both wah and whammy in the signal path, both on, assigned to exp pedals 1 and 2. - Using an A/B switch, connect exp pedal 1 output to A and exp pedal 2 output to B. Output from A/B switch to the one expression pedal. Would that work? Any advice welcome!
  2. Hey Phil_m, many thanks for your reply! I think I'm going to buy a 2.5mm x 5.5mm barrel plug separately and solder my own cable together. Cheers, Steve
  3. So, on this basis and at great expense, I bought a Strymon Zuma R300 for my new pedalboard and connected 2 outputs in parallel using a daisy chain pedal cable. Then I discover that the Helix Effects uses a non-standard pedal cable socket, so normal pedal cables don't fit!! What?? My only current solution is to still use the power cable and adapter from the Helix Effects (which incidentally is very lumpy, maybe extra lumpy because I am in Europe so the US plug has to have some sort of adapter). Then I have two power cables coming out of my floorboard, which kind of negates my original intention of minimizing the number of cables I have to plug in before a gig.... Does anyone have any other suggestions or ideas? See picture of my floorboard as it is now.
  4. Hi all, I'm confused... The HX Effects manual says "Each preset can run up to nine simultaneous blocks" but there are only 6 footswitches for effects so how does that work? Where do the extra blocks go and does that mean that one footswitch can turn on/off more than one block? Or are these extra blocks without footswitches on all the time in that preset?
