I was, for 30 years, a magnetic resonance spectroscopist. It was a very interesting and rewarding career but underneath everything there was always the idea that I’d rather be a musician. That’s what I decided to do when I retired and that’s what I did. I have full recording studio in the basement with all the bells ‘n whistles. The Helix floor, along with a couple of Variax guitars and a Powercab Plus or two kicking around, are very useful for getting just about any sounds I can think of.
I love tinkering about with the studio hardware (which I did a lot as a.spectroscopist) and the software (which I also did as a spectroscopist). I guess I didn’t really retire after all.
