  1. UPDATE ~ Thanks for the responses. Greatly appreciated. I wanted to let you all know after weeks of checking cables, tubes, etc I found my culprit. It WAS NOT the line 6 HX Effects. Instead it was the line 6 G50 Relay! The direct out jack had a short (maybe 5 years of trustworthy service on it...). I acquired the Shure GLDX16 device, re-wired my entire board with brand new cables (instead of the piece meal I was doing trying to at gigs) and I'm back to the "quiet zone". So all hail the HX Effects...still digging it.
  2. So this isn't "just me"...I've had my unit since Feburary 2018. My original pedal board with stomp boxes was super quiet and was changing to this box because I really like the flexibility of it. However, about a month ago it started to create buzzing like a bad cable or bad ground. I have replaced cables, check my tubes, tried different guitars, went direct (vs 4 cable method) and recently added noise gates to most of my "go to patches" (which only stops the noise when I'm not playing. Has anyone actually received a replacement and the noise problem was "no longer"? Thanks.
  3. Thanks. I didn't know about the factory reset buttons as I did update to 2.50. As mentioned, I did figure out the settings in the HX Effects. Sounds great. I've got a few "pedal boards" set up and I "think" I can save those patches on the editor, then do a factory reset, then drag those presets back onto the HX so I don't have to redo them? Is that correct?
  4. I figured this out concerning #2 and #3 above. In the chain, put compression, distortion, etc. then insert the FX then run delay, verb, etc after that. Also, don't make the FX a switch. That way you don't give up a stompbox on the pedal board. I never did find the 4CM examples. Loving the new toy...
  5. Thanks. This statement should be covered in the manual!!. I've got a couple question. The FX has a send and return DB as well as a mix. What are the recommended settings for those? What is FX2? Is that for a seconded amp? Where is the best place to put the looper in a 4cm method?.... And unrelated to the 4CM, what is the best way to mount the HX to a pedal board?
  6. Just opened the box today hoping that this little toy will be "just what the doctor ordered". I've been running my effects through my effects loop on my Two Rock Gainmaster 35 for about 6 years (just delay, verb and chorus). I'd like the HX to replace those and also give some me additional effects either before or after the amp. I know it can "do it", but whenever I plug it in according the set up, my tone is sucked out of the amp and the volume drops lots. I read the manual and there is a statement that says this: "There are even templates to get you started". Elsewhere in the manual they say to look for "4CM" on effects. I understand the concept of the 4 cable method, but can't figure out the routing inside of the HX. So a few questions: 1. Where are the templates? 2. Do I need to put something in the front of my pedal chain so the delay, verb, etc will run through my effects loop on the amp? 3. What am I missing? I know it is obvious but glad I didn't take apart my old pedal board just yet. Thanks in advance. Tony
