  1. You won't need to. It sounds good out of the box. Just turn it on and add some cut if you're gonna turn it up. You don't have to mess with eq, hf driver balance or anything more complicated than the 4 knobs it comes with.
  2. Same Issue. Quite annoying
  3. My current setup is L(mono) to a Powercab 112+ and the 112+ to FOH. If I am using only mono blocks can I route my R main out to headrush frfr for use as a personal monitor wedge? In other words when everything in the chain is mono do the L and R main outs have identical signal?
  4. Thanks for taking the time to test it.
  5. In FRFR mode do the hi and low cuts affect what comes out of the XLR out on the Powercab?
  6. @codamedia Thanks so much ! That gave me exactly what I wanted and now I know the unit is even more flexible than I thought !
  7. Thanks ! That would make sense. I'm gonna try that!
  8. I just obtained a stomp XL upgrading from a POD GO so I am new to improved cabs. Flat mode on my PC112+ works well but I found I had to edit the flat mode preset and turn on the high and low cuts, otherwise the tone was crazy fizzy. I have set the high cut at 5K and the low cut at 100. I compared similar patches using the JCM800 model with a V30 cab on the unit vs the v30 (Vintage) emulation on the powercab. In my room I think the helix cabs win however, it's really hard to tell outside of the band mix. Next gig I will go FRFR with helix cabs and if it seems somewhat lacking I will switch it over to the patch I made for the PC emulated V30. I use the PC as a monitor and stage volume and run from the PC to FOH.
  9. I am new to the HX Stomp XL. Is it possible in stomp mode to assign 4 of the buttons to snaps? The command center will allow me to make the button assignments but as soon as I push one of the buttons assigned to snap the command center action reverts back to snapshot up. So I'm thinking either I'm missing something in the global settings, or what I am trying to do just isn't possible. Any ideas would be appreciated. I did a factory reset as well and that did not make a difference. I am on the 3.6 firmware.

    Amp out

You don't really place your effects between your amp head outputs and a speaker cab. The POD does not support placing effects between the preamp and poweramp like an effects loop if that is what you are thinking. Placing your effects after the the speaker cab simulates applying studio effects after mic'd amp cabinet which does happen in recording studios.
  11. Is there a trick to getting a fuller and more consistent sound standing anywhere but directly in front of the 112Pluss? It sounds great when it's pointed at my ears but as I move away it sounds like a blanket has been placed on the speaker. I played a small outdoor gig with just the powercab and not going direct into the system, and I felt like I was playing thorugh a 5 watt Fender champ..... My sound was just so small. My Marshall DSL never had this issue. I realize closed backs are more directional but this was extremely directional.
  12. The plus is upgradable and it is possible to receive additional speakers in the future. However the main reason I bought the plus was I couldn't find the standard in stock anywhere :)
  13. I just purchased a Powercab 112 plus. I am connecting my POD GO to the powercab 112 plus via the left/mono main output to the powercab and the xlr output of the powercab left/mono to the FOH mixer. Do I need to set the outputs to mono in the global settings? Would I be better off running left and right into the the two inputs from my Pod Go and leave output as default stereo? Thanks
