The reason for my questions is that I see on internet for sale second hand motherboards, where the seller doesn't know if it comes from an electric or acoustic, they only post pictures. Hi ! I bought some months ago a Variax acoustic 700 at a extremely low price, and it turned out that it doesn't have the motherboard. I understood that it is impossible at this point to buy from line6 or Fullcompass a motherboard, but I see sometimes second hand parts for sale, and this is why I need help with the following: - What is the part number for the motherboard of an acoustic versus an electric variax 700 ? I see different codes "flying around" (on internet, in photos, forums, etc,etc) such as "35-00-0005" , "35-00-0137", "50-02-0005-2". Can anyone explain those codes ? - How can I tell from a picture if a motherboard is for a variax electric 700 or acoustic 700 ? - In other words: is there any difference in the motherboard of a variax 700 electric versus acoustic ? or is it just the firmware that differs ? I found pictures on internet of both motherboards, and they seem identical (but then maybe one motherboard could have been erroneously identified as electric 700, that is why I ask) - Have different "revisions" of a motherboard been released ? Could it happen for example that the variax acoustic 700 motherboard changed design throughout the years and there are motherboards around that look slighly different? thank you ! Ariel//
